Hey Mark,

I was there on Sunday and it was a mad-house. The R32 was fun, but nothing like the beast. Until I get the sound issues resolved (which may never happen at this point) the R32 is my new toy.

I was at the 19km marker when a motorcyclist from the London area when into the barrier. I had to call for the medics and the helicopter because the fellow Londoner drivers didn't know that 999 doesn't work in Germany. I thought it was required for all ringers to have 112 programmed into their mobile phones... Anyway the guy died and the track re-opened after 1.5 hours only to be shutdown again around 1500. I left the ring only getting in three laps for the entire day. It was a mad house!!!

Do you have a picture of these wheels, I really don't know what the GT wheels look like...

I was at the Ring too on Sunday. It was a madhouse indeed... I arrived around noon, 10 minutes later the track was closed. When the track was open again, I managed to do 4 laps, and then I needed to get gas. When I came back, the track was closed again...
Next time it opened, I only managed to do 3 laps, until it closed again. And then in the evening 2 more laps.
There were tons of accidents... Never seen so many accidents as last Sunday.

But my car did great this time, finally!

@Russ: you should PM your phone number, so I won't miss you next time we're at the Ring together...

@Fart: I found some pictures of your wheels... Not sure if they will clear my brakes. These are the only M3 wheels I haven't tried yet. All others hit the brakes...

I should make myself more clear. It's quality-time-with-the-lady-weekend


Today I had to say goodbye to my previous E36... I've had the car for 6 years, and had some great times with it. It was a '92 325i, with S50B30 engine, full M look, big wheels, nice looking interior etc...
When I bought the M3 a few weeks ago, this one became the donor, and now everything usefull is removed, and I'll bring it to the junk yard tomorrow morning.

While the previous E36 was more SHOW, the 'new' M3 will be more GO...
