Wheater should be OK. Rain on Saterday, but dry on Sunday. I'll be there. On Saterday I'll be babysitting, and collect lots of credits, which will all be spent on Sunday at the Ring

Mmm, I didn't read your post in time... That's why I lost

Now we still haven't driven in each other's cars... The waiting line to come of the track was sooo big. I just kept on driving... Did 12 laps, and then one of my front brake pads was completely gone (should've checked before I left...) in the last lap at Planzgarten, metal on metal. Ring racing is closed (structural damage of the building, they're not allowed to use that building anymore), so I couldn't think of a shop to get new pads. So we left with the car just like that. Right now, I'm a master in defensive driving... Nordschleife - home: 220km, applied brakes: 6 times. I was getting better and better at it. I started to learn how to use the hand brake to get the car stopped completely, downshift even to first gear to slow down etc... In the last 80 km, I didn't brake once, not even to stop at my house and park the car in the carport. I think I can do the complete trip without braking by now... Pads will be ordered tomorrow morning.

By the way, right after you passed me, you went quite extreme to the left side of the track. Was that intended?

The M3 has done 58 laps by now... I think there'll be 3 more trips this year.

Frits - - EXCELLENT - you raced the brakes OFF of it!

- thanks for the laps, really amazed at how the M3 moves in the corners, completely different than the M5...

I almost went off just after I passed you. The tires were not warm enough to take the corner in the speed I was doing
After I passed you, I also passed a black E36M3 and then had a pretty good race with an estril blue E36M3 from Germany, he was pretty fast considering that he was on street tires. It must have been a 3.2L.

It was a good day, but lots of rubbing in my car, both front an rear.

Your car looks pretty good on the track.

Haha! I told my passenger:"Wow, he almost missed the turn, or is that his style? I've never seen him driving..."

In one of my laps, I was making my best passage of Adenau Forst. When I was accelerating on the straight, I looked in my mirror to see if there was anyone faster, so I could let him pass. I didn't see the turn... I only saw white/blue smoke. I let go of the gas, and pushed again. Oh dear, it's me!! Weird, no loss of power, just a lot of smoke... What the f*ck is wrong now? Am I leaking oil? Mmm don't think so... No lights on the dash, all temperatures OK... I drove quitely to the Breidscheid exit. Then I parked the car, opened the hood, everyting seems OK. Looked under the car, looks OK. Started the engine again, no smoke. Rev to 4k rpm, no smoke. Rev to 7k, no smoke. Huh? I drove back to the entrance of the Nordschleife. There I checked the oil level. Too much oil??? I checked the level yesterday, and it was right at the maximum???
Anyway, we just went on the track again, and we did like 6 more laps, without any issue (except for the brakes at the end of the last lap).
