some a**Hole stole my stock rear spoiler

i parked my ride on newburry street in boston for 3 hours after 5pm, went to dinner, and came back i realized my stock spoiler was gone. . This bastard just took it. i could not believe my eyes. now my m3 looked f*&@&up!

i have heard from boston people that a lot of their M3's spoiler have been stolen regulary now in the city. i should have remembered and parked it in the garage.

anyway, i have to find a new one now. can you guys recommend spoilers maybe from AC or Hamann?

sincerely,

Doesn't that suck? I had a similar thing happen with my old E36 M3 in NY a few years ago. Some jerk literally pulled one of my aero mirrors right off. I guess he needed just one.

Sorry to hear that!

I like the clean look of the factory spoiler, as opposed to the others that are available for the E46. Many of them are just too much for the car, they offset the subtle design of the E46 M3 IMO.

The AC Schnitzer is probably the only one that actually helps with reducing lift.

Good luck,

I am gob smacked. Almost speechless.

Man I cannot believe someone could do such a thing.
I mean what would their explaination be, 5 seconds before you proceeded to beat them to within an inch of their life with it, if you caught them.

I guess crime is certainly a lot lower here down under. I still can't believe some MF would commit such a henious crime.

I was always in favour of bringing back public floggings. As Pol Pot said, "Kill one, and educate a thousand."

Surely it couldn't possibly be a BMW owner of any shaoe or description that is considering putting it on their car.

Whats even more unbelieveable is that you say its a faily common thing. What do the use them for. Aren't they just like $100 or something. Why is there a Market for such an item. What BMW owner in their right mind would buy a hot part.?

Especially not such an identifyable one like an "M" Spoiler.

I guess logic goes out the window, when they decide to start stealing.

My sincere condolances for your Mini -Beast

Sorry to hear that
I hope that the paint on the boot wasn't ruined as well.
My right side mirror was stolen on my E36 M3.
One of the side skirts was stolen (which was Zender) from my Audi A3.
Also someone stole both mirrors and side gills from my friend's E46 M3.

I just can't park my car on the streets anymore.

Thanks everyone for the support!. Luckily, the paint stays and only a few 3m tapes remained and a few minor scracthes. I will post picture soon. i have heard several tuning shops here in boston (i will not name) have been under many rumors stealing expensive cars and their parts. From now on, i will park in the garage or w/ valet service. I was @ ritz carlton Boston last night and i still could not believe my ride got "busted" on a supposedly "famous" shopping street. It was not as if i parked in a dark alley. anyway, you guys should be extra careful. The funny thing is my hamann emblems which are very easy to take out, are not stolen.

in any event, i am not looking for a "huge wing" to replace my stolen stock spoiler. i think there is one by AC that is quite similar to the stock M3 spoiler. In any case, Be extra cautious and careful out there guys!!! please.... "It's a jungle out there"

sincerely,

I think you should get the 3-piece spoiler from ACS. It really looks the dogs!

Sorry to hear that. Its such a shame

My vote is for the e46 coupe spoiler. I guess its kinda like a wing, but not really "overboard"
