What's plastic dip? Is it a paint? What's the process of putting it on?

It's called Plasti-Dip.... You can find it at Lowes or Home Depot... All you do is take the wheels off... Clean them... Dry them..... Spray it on... It suggests three coats waiting a half hour between. It is touchable after a half hour... After 24 hours it is tough... You can peel it off if you don't like it. It is like a protective film. Try it!!!

That looks nice, give us a 6 month or so report and let us know how durable that coating is to the elements, compared with more traditional, more expensive ways of wheel coating.

That seems to be the new craze. I was looking for info for a problem I was having with my work truck, on another forum, and noticed quite a few threads where people were plasti-dipping their wheels and grills. So far, it seems everyone has been happy with the product and the durability, from what I have read.
