??? on the price of my 2010 M3 Coupe, HELP

Sorry, I know pricing threads get old fast, but I take delivery of my car tomorrow, and I want to see what others are paying.

My specific question is, for anyone that has taken delivery of a 2010 coupe, how much over invoice did you pay? My dealer is asking for $1500 over invoice, which doesn't seem too far off for a loaded 2010 model.

Thanks

That is a very good price. Not bad for a brand new coupe made to your specifications. If you don't mind, what was the MSRP and the invoice?

Hmm so 1500 over invoice is about 4500 off MSRP. Still sounds like too much for me. About 5 months ago, I read a thread on M3post about someone who bought a brand new 08 M3 for about $16,000 off MSRP. Even though this is a 2010, that just doesn't seem like enough of a discount given that these cars basically sit on dealer lots.

I'd dry to get at least 7k off MSRP. I know thats a lot given the 2010 models just came out, but I think it is appropriate.

Best of luck, and remember to post pics when you get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He paid below invoice...he paid $69,575 for the car...and I am mistaken on one option...he does not have the active cruise control.
The WOW is simply this....when I got my 08 E92 back in April of 2008...the cars were marked up anywhere from 4k to 6k depending on where you were in the US. The only option not available at the time of my purchase was the DCT....if you wanted it...you had to wait until near end of summer......I paid MSRP...not a penny more or less...which at the time I considered it a good deal...
Flash forward to Sept. 08....economy takes the nose dive.....M3's are sitting on dealer lots.....and BMW even offers .9% financing on ANY 2008 M3 which is delivered by Dec. 31st 2008.
Flash forward to you(meaning guys getting 2010's) and your telling me your paying OVER invoice....that is the WOW....I am surprised that dealers are asking and getting it. Thats all.
Nothing personal towards you in particular.....You will enjoy the car...it is loads of fun...esp. if you take her to the track.

The market has swung back and forth for ever and ever. As they say, timing is everything, and mine usualluy sucks.

As to your friend, it's very hard believe that anyone would sell a 2010 below invoice. They just don't have to!!! I think you should make sure you have you facts staight. For instance, there is no active cruise control on an M3. My car does have every option availble in the US, and cost is $67,090 without the gas guzzler and desination charges. Loaded means different things to different people. Does he have extended leather or power rear sunshade? Just an example.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback.

I dont know if it has power sun shades....but he purchased the car from Hudson Valley BMW....the car was sitting in the port in New Jersey...as I said he took the car as it was...he did not order it...because when he told me it had a sunroof...I asked him WHY???...dont you want the CF roof??....that is when he explained to me how he came upon the car....I will ask him if I can scan a copy of his invoice....I believe him...he is a stand up guy...
every dealer is NOT in the same circumstances as others....case in point...I was reading on 6speed that a well-known and large dealer in New Orleans that sells P-Cars asked Porsche to take back the dealership..!!....a fellow there was told his order for a 2010 GT3 would be handled by the P-Car dealership in Baton-Rouge who would honor the pricing he received...
so I really dont know why he(M3) got the deal he did.....kinda like me...who paid MSRP when everyone was telling me no way...BTW I purchased my car from fellow M5board member M5deamon...maybe being a board member helped...:???
