Very strange idle..

I was at the gas station last night putting gas in my 2009 M3 and as I was putting the gas in the car all of a sudden I heard the engine go up in RPM's. My GF freaked out, naturally, and yelled at me that the car was moving. I ran over to the driver side and saw the RPM's jump up twice to about 1200-1400 RPM's and then back down to normal idle. The car was engaged in N and the Ebrake was up. The car has just over 1300 miles on it. I wanted to ask the experts and posted. What do you guys think? Any and all advice is welcomed and appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It was probably since you were filling the tank while the engine was running.
