I am very happy to see this as an E92 M3 owner.

A little disappointed at the R8s results - considering that it is a sports car and it is considerably lighter - I thought it was going to pull away from the M3.

Some great races! Thanks for the post.

I'm very impressed that the m3 held its own against the r8. Don't buy into the hype! The r8 is overpriced for the performance number that it posts. Get an m3 instead and you can drive it every day.

Yes, true they are very evenly matched.

On a track the mid-engined R8 might have a slight lead but then you really have to push it to notice that.

Thats an awesome race for the M3. Personally, I have never gone for the R8. Just way to slow for that kind of money. On the other hand, the R8 V10 looks really exciting. Gustav, if you ever get the opportunity, it would be awesome to see a race of the E60 M5 vs. R8 V10.
