Well I have a friend in San Remo that I have visited twice for the Formula 1 in Monaco. Last time was in 1996. We had his 325iA Convertible and went on the beautiful Italian / French roads on Cote d'Azure. Very nice memories!

Hmm, you seem to have excellent cartaste. So if i know everuthing correct you have had so far:

'98 323ti Compact "M" 255 BHP

then:

'00 M Coupé Hartge Estoril

and this as a secondary car:

'01 M5 Hartge Cosmos Schwarz ?

Hmm, what have Hartge done to these?

I just had the Hartge Pipes and chiptuning on the M5, with the "Schraubgewinde Fahrwerk" (Bilstein/Eibach) and the M coupé had 19' H Classic wheels,, Bilstein Eibach, Bodywork, spoiler flippers on the front, diffusor on the back, chip and pistons, Nockenwellen, short shift, was a very nice car....

Actually my new one arrived yesterday at BMW CH in Biel, is just waiting for the Hartge Pipes to drive... But there is snow now, so I'm not sure if I'll get it this week...

the '98 Compact was fun, but got changed in '99 for an M compact concept, 3.2L... was really cool, M got it back though.

thanks for the info Vasquez. It would be nice if the M3 sedan made it to production, I am sure it will do very well.

Hi VasqueZ,
Thanks for the scoop on the 4-door M3. In your profile, it says your occupation is a Race Driver. Is this true? What team do you race for and what type of racing car do you drive?

Thanks.

Well, this year has been quite inactive for me in races... Just a few karting races (Monaco Kart Cup, And a few international championships), and in Superproduction at BMW (Motorsport srl., Italy) I have just done a LOT of test KMs... too many in my point of view. That was my main occupation. Sure it is fun, but quite tough at the end of the week, especially when you have severe brake troubles, oil pressure problems, etc. Makes the thing interesting, but really hard.

M3 saloon?

I like the saloon versions, so a new M3 saloon would suit me fine. There is a company over here that is now producing 'M' body kits for the 'std' version of the 3 series.
Perhaps they will think about an M3 Touring?? you never know.

ps. another great thing about Italy, apart from the food, wine, women etc, is the differing type of cars they get, but elsewhere, they are not available. i.e the E30 320is, or in other words a 2.0 M3 engined car straight from M div, sold only in Italy.

M3 saloon

There could be 4 door M3 in production when BMW will stop production of its current model M5 until they introduce the new one just like they did it with e36 M3 in europe, they sold saloon M3 for only couple of years when there wasn`t M5 on sale
I guess we`ll have to wait to see what happens

I think an M3 saloon is a fantastic idea. It's like a jr M5! BMW, how about an M3 Touring next? That'll give the RS4 a nice kick in the @sse!
