335i coupe or M3 E46???

Hi,

I sold my 528 E39 several months ago and I'm starting to look for another beemer. However, I'm having a hard time deciding which one to go for: E46 M3 or 335i coupe.
As far as I've seen on the youtube, performance wise they are very similar. But relatively cheap chiptuning of 335i makes another story...

Which one would you choose and why?

Thanks.

ha ha too funny

I would go for the M! I think the M looks better and sounds better. A more aggressive car overall. Sure you can tune the 335 with aftermarket parts but from my experience unless you go into the motor or diff. your not gonna get much bang for your buck. Also turbos are cool untill it goes wacky on ya. They are very expensive to repair. Beside when I see a 335i I think to myself, thats a fast car, , then its back to normal. When I see an M car I think wow thats a M model, I wonder whos driving it? I wanna catch up and see the driver, let down my window and listen to the exhaust note, see if I can get him to floor it!

Just my opinion! Good luck with your decision

Thanks for your opinion
Chiptuning + exhaust + lsd would make the 335i realy fast, much faster than the M3...

Warranties are not wearing down for the E46 M3. $2000 with the 335i and you will absolutely kill the M3 in straightline performance.

I do know that both cars are great and have their advantages. That is why it's so hard to decide...

It's a tougher question than it has ever been in the past.

But whatever you decide, either choice is a winner.

If you want a fast, comfortable car, go for the 335. If, however, you are looking for more focussed performance car, and by performance I don't just mean straight line speed, and are prepared to sacrifice some comfort, the M3 is the best choice.
