It has been one week now since I had my Eisenmann exhaust (Sport version - oval tips) installed. The exhaust looks stunning. Pictures will follow later (horrible weather all week and no time to clean up the car).
At first I was disappointed since there was almost no sound difference compared to the stock exhaust. My biggest fear was having a drone inside the cabin but ... none of that. The dealer did tell me that the sound would open up after 3 to 400 miles. Luckily I did a lot of driving over the weekend and boy was he right. The sound changed drastically.
I've always liked the sound at cold start but now it is even better. At low rpm's the sound is deeper, heavier but the fun really begins as of 4,500 rpm. This is where you get this screamin' sound. Simply awesome. In my opinion this is what the M6 should have sounded like from the factory.
The good thing is that once you get off the gas you go back to a normal sound level. Cruisin' on the highway may be a notch louder than stock but is not annoying in any way and ... NO DRONE. Even my wife's comment was: wow, this thing sounds great now. The downshifts are something she ralready liked and now she is crazy about it.
Summary: should have had this exhaust from day one. Perfect for my needs and the convertible (driving with the rear window open was already on the top of my list but is now the absolute standard).
Just wanted to share this with you and if any of you out there were hesitant I can tell you: go get it. It is amazing.
Too bad it didn't make it on time for my trip to Monaco. I guess I'll have to do it again.
Cheers
