M Driving Experience

Just came back from the M Driving Experience and similar to other reviews so far, all I can say is WWWOOOWWW!!! This is my second time around (first on E39), and I will never get tired of it. Drove all the M cars but the M6 is still my favorite. Took my brother with me as a christmas gift for him. I've never seen the white of somebody's teeth as much as I did his

I've attached a video of the hot lap inside an M5 and my brother in the M6. Those instructors are super professional and first class in all they do. If I have time for a part time job, I'll be heading down to SC.

Enjoy the vids.

Happy holidays!!!

Nice. Thanks for posting, Paul. Commentary during the M6 autocross was amusing

I'm tenatively going in March '07...can't wait.

Question: Do you have to drive all the different cars or do you have a choice? I ask b/c I really don't have a desire to drive the M3, M coupe or even the M6. I love my M5 and would rather just learn the driving dynamics of my car as opposed to using another model.

bmwbonehead,

I feel the same way you do about driving just my car (M6) during the event. Unfortunately, they will have you drive the M6 for autocross, M5 for the skid pad and Z4M for the braking. No M3s are available to drive. Then you will have more driving autocross during the afternoon with all cars.

After this event, I have to get into the M and Advance school they offer. Just need to find the time.

When and how do you get the information on the ME? I didn't get anything with the car and the dealer didn't say anything.

fgbaloh,

They let you spin the car like a snake the first go around by having DSC off. Then you turn DSC on with FULL THROTTLE to see the benefit and capabilities of the DSC. Awesome technology for sure.

Learning how the car communicates with you with DSC activated continuously benefited me on a rainy drive when I got home.
