I don't think that the gallardo got the jump.
Remember, the lambo started in 1ST gear, because its gearing is very very high, and the M6 started in 2ND gear at around 4000rpm. In the video, it seemed that the gallardo got the jump, but i think that both nailed it at the same time. Maybe if the M6 started in 1ST at something like 5500+rpm, things would be even better for the bmw.

and maybe if they started from a stop the M6 would have had an even harder time catching up..... you'll never get the car's evenly matched starting from a roll..... nice video!

Nice race and congrats....I think the Gallardo had a tough day.

When looking at the video I get the impression that the driver of the Gallardo has problem to change gears correctly. Look at the wheels, every gear change seems to take for ever. Compared to the M6 with the SMG the Gallardo seems to loose time and speed at every gear change.

i think possibly off the jump the 997tt will get a larger lead than the z06 but the z06 has more top end, probably finish in similar result of smoking the m6

Yes, starting at 1st gear was better for the M6, we did that later.

And me - being an idiot - didn't. I started the races that I was allowed to do in 2nd gear. Meaning I crippled the Z06. Will do better next year! Hope to get a re-match with the M6 then with two passangers in each car as that seems to be the most important factor.

However the M6 seems to shift slow as well Seriously, I don't know that, can be bad shifting poits from me or bad settings. However I beleive I had the fastest shift setting. In anyway, we know the Z06 is faster.

Before we go off tangent Ill show the Z06 vs Kellners M5 video and listen to those shifts
