How much longer do I have to wait?

        Hello all,

I have placed an order for my AW with IR interior M6 in the first week of September. I have checked the owners circle on bmwusa.com and it says that my car is now awaiting transport. Can anyone tell me how long from this point it should take for it to arrive at my dealership? Any input would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

On average, you can figure on ~30 days from production completion to delivery for non-west coast cars.

Call your salesperson as the Owners Circle is usually 3 days out of date. My SB with sepang and olive trim arrives in NYC on the 28th. The wait is unbearable.

        The wait is killing me

My car finished production on Sept 21st, and was transported to the port for loading. And now I'm waiting...waiting..waiting for any further progress.

I checked the usual W&W shipping website, and the next scheduled transport from Bremerhaven to Savannah doesn't depart until October 4th. The ships sail every 10-12 days, so I just missed the prior boat, so to speak...intolerable cruelty to know that the car is so close, and so far.

Therefore, it seems that my M6 will be aboard the Tarago arriving Savannah on October 18th. Then, approximately 10-12 days until

Well, I placed my order in Jan of '02 and took delivery in July of '06. A mere, *short* wait...

I actually just got off the phone with my salesman. He told me that my car will be coming in to the Port of Bayonne on Oct. 12 and should be at my dealership in about 3 days after that. I ordered my car on September 7.

My M6 is scheduled to come into the port of Bayone (N.J.) on Oct. 12 (tomorrow). How long do you guys think it should take for it to be at my dealer which is obviously also in N.J. Thanks for any input.

The boat docks in Port Hueneme and the VPC is in Oxnard. Check Google maps for this address:
        BMW of North America Inc
        5650 Arcturus Ave
        Oxnard, CA 93033

The ship that carried my M6 docked 10/10. The truck arrived at the dealer in Seaside (near Monterey) on 10/12. I took delivery 10/13. This might be a best case timeline, since at the start of the model year the VPC does not have a large backlog.

        Clyde is online now
