        Opinions on aftermarket wheels?

I've decided to put wheels on my new M6 Cab when it gets here. There are 3 different wheels I really like made by Breyton and Maya. I'd love to get your opinions on which wheels you guys think would look best, and anything else you'd like to suggest. I feel a high polished rim is a must. Lay it on me!!!

Those Maya's in the middle look...(in the words of Paris Hilton) HAWT!!

The other two are not bad at all either. I think the first one is a little plain/ugly, and the last one is great for showing off the brakes/caliper but its not anything compared to hte middle pic.

Yep the middle ones are by far the best agreed.
I think us in the UK must be a little more reserved, not a fan of chrome!.
In fact so much so that I prefer the look of my car ( on std wheels ) when the wheels are slightly dirty so it dulls the chrome spokes, looks lot better that way. When Ive washed it and the wheels are all sparkly the wheels look a bit 'bling' for my taste....no accounting for taste eh!

I like the stock, or the AC Schnitzer Tension the best. IMHO...

Here's my take. The Breytons on a 6 look really nice, much nicer than they look on pictures. you getting 20" right?

The Mayas are good too, they just do not have class the Breytons have. Don't get me wrong, the Mayas are good looking rims so you cannot loose, IMO.

So, I agree with your assessment, high polished silver over chrome on your coming cab. One other thing, if you have stock calipers/discs assembly and you want to show them off, you might want to choose the middle Maya rim.

        Good luck.

        Another opinion

I don't know why everyone wants to do plus sizing on a 19" rim. You end up with heavier wheels, and compromised ride quality. A super quality aftermarket wheel manufacturer such as BBS offer many great choices in 19". I personally think the CH style looks incredible on the M6, and it give you another .5" of wheel width in the rear, while reducing the car's unsprung weight.

        Wow, I love this forum!!!

Thanks Guys! I appreciate everyones opinion. I know when it comes to wheels, its personal choice. I'm definitely going with 20s. I wouldn't go with chrome finish on any of the wheels I'm considering. I will end up with a bright aluminum finish, aand a highly polished lip.

Has anyone heard of MRR Wheels (Picture below). They have a great looking wheel, but I'm a little suspicious based on the price. 20x10 1/2" are around $350. Just sounds to good to be true.

Added tire width will certainly improve traction, but it will also increase friction. Friction is a form of drag on performance and will reduce the speed of the car. It's a trade-off that you may want to consider.

        Rim Size

I prefer 19" and I agree with some that performance decreases with larger wheel size...But the 19" vs. 20" is all about tyre width and space between the wheel well.

With all the new materials, a 20" though larger can weigh equal or less than a 19" but it is a matter of taste.

        That rim is suspect.

Yeah, it's all about the look. If you're referring to the MRR's being suspect, I agree. I called them direct and they admitted that there wheels are replicas of Breyton and Maya's. They even admitted the others are of much higher quality and strength.
