For me its not about owning the car..its about using it....
This is a great quote. It reminds me of something Carroll Shelby once said about his Shelby Mustangs and Cobras. He was asked his opinion about how people are now pampering them, gargage-ing them, trailering them, etc. Basically, doing everything but DRIVING them. They had become so valuable that they weren't being driven. He was very angry and said something like, "Dammit! I made these cars to be DRIVEN"!
I´m absolutely speechless! That was just sick, definately one of the coolest videos I have ever seen. For how long do you think you could drive at top speed without having a problem with the Corsas. I´ve always had that doubt.
@ Ronan
Nice way to get your car delivered! You guys are really brave.
I've got a certification from Pirelli that the PZeroCorsas (255/40 and 285/35 ZR19) are good for speeds up to 325 km/h (effective speed).
The M6 tested during the Sport Auto Supertest did an effective, GPS measured top-speed of 259 km/h. The displayed speedo top speed was 270 km/h.
So you have to subtract about 15 km/h from the speedo-speed when driving top speed (340 - 15 = 325 km/h).
Exceeding the max. tire-speed for a short time is no problem either.
With the PZeroCorsas you are pretty safe!
Over 300 km/h the difference is decreasing is my information directly from the M GmbH. At your speed it should be more 5-7 km/h difference.
I can't help but notice that at the start of the video it's rather dark (due to the early morning pre-dawn). Then at the end of the video the sun is coming up and it's relatively light. Now the video is just 3:44 long. I'd say y'all covered enough of mother earth in 3 mins. to catch up to the sunrise.
Well..we were doing over 5km a minute...its actually not so brave because the M6 is a very stable platform and also Autobahnraser knew the road..it was very easy for me to stay back a distance and see his line..
