Drag Race Video: 2006 BMW M6 vs. 2002 Porsche 911 Twin Turbo

This was a drag race between my 2006 BMW M6 and my friend's 2002 996/911 Twin Turbo.

M6 - 3,000 mi.
Porsche: 33,000 mi.

Both vehicles are in stock form.

There was 1 passenger in each car to keep weight even.

The video was shot from inside the M6 front passenger seat.

The race begins at 4,000 rpm on the M6 tach in 2nd gear (way outside the M6's powerband - giving the 911 the advantage) This was done deliberately so the Porsche gets the jump and we get a better view of the race from behind.

Since this race was filmed at night, it is difficult to see all the details. So, to give you guys a better guage of distance and speed, I keep calling out the speed in mph as the race progresses.

The video was shot on a cell phone in black and white so please excuse the quality.
