Have had MANY compliments on my M6 in the first 1200 mi., including from the ladies.
(One lady asked to borrow it. She was quite attractive wearing shorts and a t-shirt that said "Too expensive for you!" I told her she might get a ride depending on how far she wanted to go.)
Quite a change from my M3 which I thought was butt ugly.
M6 lines are great, even including the banglebutt which actually is similar to a real sportscar with a spoiler.

McKenna BMW is So. Cal has a Black/Black M6 for $50K over. Better hurry!ouich They also had a Black with Portland Brown. Now I now why I almost went with that combo, it looks really really nice. I am almost regretting not going with that combo, but the Sepang interior I'm sure will look good too. This one had the Carbon Fiber trim which I probably would not do with PB.

Oh I'm sure he's thinking distance as in miles. Knowing the lousy mileage the M6 gets I'm sure psybj is thinking about conserving oil and preserving the environment.
I got mine via phone order and had it air shipped in to Hawaii. Then I had the body shop the the BMW dealer uses paint and mount it for me. Spoiler with transporation was around $920. Painting and mounting another $250 so just under $1200 end to end. Without air shipping ($80 as I recall), you'd do better. A couple of weeks ago I had the body shop re-mount it as the epoxy they had used was not completely holding. Otherwise its been on since Oct 2005.
The body shop owner started with the BMW factory paint code mixture/layers for my car (Stratus Gray) and then adjusted on a couple of test sheets until he was happy with the color match. Stratus Gray is one of those colors that changes with the light, has metallic highlights, etc. but ANY color can matched if your paint guy is any good.
Good luck, I think you'll like it a bunch once you have it installed. The trunk does not go up as easily by itself (when released) due to the extra weight though. I asked my service tech at the dealership if they could "pump up" the truck release, but he said they could not. Otherwise, its all good. My BMW car cover even fits (tightly) over it.
My salesman refers to ACS stuff as "Gucci" and since He's Italian, that's meant as a compliment. I was learly of putting the spoiler on also since my car is leased and in theory it supposed to returned to original condition if I turn it in at lease end. Probably will "sell" the car to the dealer somewhere near lease end (unless I break down and get an M6 sooner than that) in which case it doesn't matter so much. In the case of this particular spoiler, I don't think it will lower the value of the car at trade-in, so what the h#ll, make it look like I like while it's mine :haha:
