Just spoke to my dealer. Everyone should know that they are moving sold M cars very very quickly through the VPC. He sighted an example of an M5 that docked on May 29th, was on a truck on the 30th to arrive at the dealership in Oregon tomorrow June 2. That 5 days from docking to delivery, that's faaaast! He said that is as fast as he has ever seen and it is unusual.
He also stated that generally ships dock a few days prior to the quoted ETA. My delivery could still happen the week of the 12th if I am lucky.

Oh, and MTO, I almost forgot, could you please bring us the menus again, we'd like to order dessert!
Oops, almost forgot, if you're in fact our server, I'm suddenly overcome by a craving for "water" cress salad (with "tomatoes" on the side, of course).
Looks like the ETA into Port Hueneme has slipped a day to June 11th.
Can someone please splain this to me.
The Hojin is heading north in the western Pacific with its first U.S. port of call, Long Beach, CA. My car will be less than 10 miles from me on Thursday June 8th. It then travels back south, 90 miles, to San Diego, ostensibly to drop freight it picked up in Long Beach. After that, it turns north again to Port Hueneme with an ETA of June 11th. Have to wonder why the back and forth, but it probably happens all of the time. You would think that freight heading south would catch a south bound vessel.
This is what my ship is doing.....
Here is what I am doing.....
Here is what some of you are doing.....
Maybe I'll take a drive over to the Port and try to catch a glimpse of the Hojin while in The Port of Long Beach. I know a few Longshoremen, my dad was one, since retired!!

It's really amazing how far a little payola can go nowadays -- yes, it was expensive, but well worth it. They've got initiative too, I'll give 'em that -- all I told 'em was to cruise around for a while, lol .

Argh. Murphy's Law in action yet again. There's never a smiley showing a gluggety-glug, sinking ship around when you need one.
