MTO, if I remember correctly, wasn't the "Mad Hatter" among one of Batman's many arch villains?

Btw, we need more smilies with hats!

As consolation to us early voters, can we start a second contest whereby we guess who'll win the hat? (I already know that I'm going to have a sunburned forehead this summer).

Btw MTO, if your wife sees this, I'll lay 10 to 1 odds that the next words out of her mouth are something like "Boy, the nerve of some people"!!!

Well, here is the last update before the polls close tonight at 12:00 PDT!

ETA is still June 10th. The vessel Hojin is approaching the Cristobal pilot station getting ready to enter the Panama Canal.

In case anyone has absolutely no life, below is a live web cam of the Panama Canal. I was hoping to catch a glimpse of the Hojin!!

OK, I couldn't resist checking out the web cam. Guess I need a life. You're car is getting quite a tour of the world.

It's nuts isn't it. It is kind of interesting to be able to track it like this. I can't tell if the cameras are pointing west or east. Anyone know?

Per the site: "The Miraflores Webcam is rotated throughout the day to show Canal traffic from different vantage points. The camera generally shows northbound traffic in the morning and southbound traffic in the evening".

PS: I noticed something when looking at the webcam. It was there, in the water, drifting slowly, silently, if only for a brief moment...then lots and lots of bubbles followed by a what I sensed to be a muffled gurgling sound. Either Loch Ness's largest inhabitant has relocated, or...well, MTO, you get my drift (pun intended).
