Thanks for reply! and Happy Holiday!!
I took it to the dealership this afternoon. after they added some oil now oil level gauge look normal. still can't understand dealership svc advisor told me reason why M model burning oil BMW put aluminum oil pan instead of steel...
I've been driven 02" Porsche C2 till this summer after debating few other choice somehow I pick 07 M6 SMG. First I was happy to face V10 Which is never driven before + convertible But Break-in procedure kind of too complicated and need to add oil every two to three thousand miles make me feel whether I pick right choice. My previous 95" C2 Cab & 02" C2 cpe never had this type of break-in procedure and burning oil. maybe I'm new to BMW experience!!! But I like the way it look !!

Happy Holiday!

RMS is Rear Main Seal.

It is a problem with most Porsches from the late 993's to 997's. (1997-2008)

Except for the GT3/GT2/CGT as they use a different engine.

Proud owner of new M6 convertible

Just purchased a slightly used '07 M6 convertible with 450 miles on it from a local Mercedes dealership here in Scottsdale, Arizona. The car is in Silverstone with Silverstone II leather interior (not full leather, just extended). Options include head-up display, carbon fibre trim, comfort access, Sirius sat radio, and chrome wheels. I just love it!!! Can't wait for the run-in period to end. I'll be checking this board frequently and look forward to participating.

Because I purchased the car used. I wish it did have full leather, especially after visiting my local BMW dealership and seeing one with the full leather option. It's just beautiful! Unfortunately, I had no choice in the matter. Actually, the quality of the material used on the dash and center console is quite good. It really doesn't detract from the interior. Plus, once I hit the 'M' button and pound the accelerator, I forget all about it anyway.

Does anyone know of a support group for us M6 owners whom reside in areas that snow? Now that they salted and sanded the roads and wont road sweap till early spring, I'll need some kind of support group to fill the ever growing void within.
Great choice on the stick!!!
