Well I am about to take delivery of my first BMW, the M6 Cab. The only problem is my dealer call me and tells me it is in, but they need to replace the transmission. From what they said, the transmission didn't sound right and they needed to fly one in from Germany and I would have to wait another week before picking it up. Has anyone heard of any transmission problems with the M6?

So I just posted pics in the owners section (i think) of my 07 M6 cab with all my Schnitzer add ons and SS xpipe and exhaust. I have had the car for 2 weeks and thrilled with it. Will someone please tell me if the pics aren't in the gallery? Thanks! Murph

Hey Murph,

I just clicked on the "View Gallery" under your screen name and they weren't there...

Don't worry, the moderator of this site needs to aprove them, and then they will appear like magic.

I PICKED UP MY M6 EUROPEAN DELIVERY (HAS ANYONE ELSE IN US/CANADA DONE THIS WITH M6?) 3 AUGUST 2006 AND DROVE TO ITALY WITH MY FAMILY (WIFE, 2 KIDS) THAT SAME DAY. 470 MILES THRU ALPS. ODDLY ENOUGH, I WAS NOT TIRED. I WAS PSYCHED!!! DID 1600 MILES IN GERMANY, AUSTRIA, SWITZERLAND, ITALY. WHAT A BREAK-IN. DOING 145 OUTSIDE MILAN. BUT I NEVER GOT TO ANSWER THE ULTIMATE QUESTION: WAS THE RATE-LIMITER FUNCTIONING YET? JUST NEVER GOT THE CHANCE TO TAKE THE CAR OUT WITHOUT THE FAMILY. DROPPED THE CAR OFF IN MUNICH 11 AUGUST AND PICKED IT UP IN MARYLAND 7 OCTOBER. IT ROCKS. INDIANAPOLIS RED FULL LEATHER INDY RED INTERIOR-GOT MANY APPROVING LOOKS IN ITALY.

I took delivery of my Siver-Grey Metalic M 6 Convertible last week from Passport BMW in MD (good guys to deal with). It has Black Merino Leather, Comfort Access, Carbon Fiber Trim, Heads Up Display and Sat Radio. It's a blast to drive, though at low speeds not as fun as my Lotus Elise. Averaging about 9 MPG so far... Would like to figure out a way to compete in 0 to 60 time with my business partner's 07 997 Turbo..

Welcome to the board and congrats on the car. Can you please type in lower case, as it seems like you are shouting at us, which you don't intend to. If I understand you correctly you're asking when the limiter kicks in? that would be 168 mph on the speedometer.

Frank.
