My 2006 M6 (80k miles) is running a little bit lumpy. Its only very minor and is much worse when cold. When its warm its better but still not M power smooth.
On a slight throttle it very slightly hesitates and then clears then hesitates again but on a harder or full throttle you don't notice it at all?
Car is always serviced on time and also always run on High Octane fuel.
Mine did that and it was due to a faulty fan and thermostat. It was overheating (and lumpy) and was changed under warranty. It's been 9 months not a problem since.
Elms, where abouts are you based? I'm in West Yorkshire. If you are local, I can have a look at the car for you to see if has the same symptoms mine had?
Sorry for the delay, Ive only just managed to get the car in and back from the dealer.
They looked into it and found fault codes on Catalyst Banks 1 + 2 and also a code for a Transmission Sensor.
Its now much better, still not 100pc as I would of expected but maybe I am being a bit too sensitive on picking up the hesitation
