Wife Shocked (In a good way!)
Today my wife, who drives an 2012 X5 Turbo, and I ended up lined up at a traffic light (In MEXICO) on the way to lunch with the family. We were driving separate vehicles because she and my daughter were going shopping after lunch. She took a rolling start and I nailed the beast...

After we arrived at the restaurant, she stated, "I had no idea that thing was so vicious and LOUD. Thank-you for never doing that when I'm in the car with you". Our daughter simply said, "Mom, I told you he would destroy us...we never had a chance". Wisdom from the mouth of babes.

Does anyone else have an similar experience from a spouse/significant other or friend from OUTSIDE the car? I think it's much different from what they see while riding.

Drag racing your spouse is precious. My wife couldn't care less but my two baby girls (3 and 6) got so pumped up on the back seats every time I took a hard acceleration and screamed like I were an abusive father and kept asking me to go faster.

Lol, my daughter does the same thing. She always wants more acceleration or higher cornering speeds!!

I have to try this with my wife in her E63 AMG. She actually thinks its faster than my M6.

Maybe we can have a duel on the race track.

We live in a small quiet village 3 miles outside the Berlin boarder and my wife and neighbor (who's a policeman) can here me coming home from when I turn past the train station and down past the fire station.......from our house it takes 8 to 10 minutes to walk to the train station......

Great story Milton. Your wife sounds cool. I have told my wife she needs to get an X5M and she just laughs and shakes her head. She doesn't understand my love of the beast, but she is supportive.

Happy New Year! You're definitely going to have to get her on the track with the AMG and show her difference! My wife drives pretty well but is scared of tracks so I doubt if I will be able to accomplish that.
