Loaded my Evolve-R Today

Loaded the Evolve-R tune this afternoon and it is definitely an improvement. Have 4 other nitrous tunes to choose from depending on what power increase I choose but only plan a 150 HP shot for now. Like that I chose to delete that faster idle at cold start-up. I'm sure that the computer will continue to adapt as miles go by too. It's also smoother and more drivable at lower RPM's. Just seems to deliver more consistent performance through all RPM's compared to the stock tune. Got on it pretty good and it broke the tires loose much more when I shifted into 2nd gear even with DSC on. Impressed to say the least!

Hey Dean what levels of spark timing retardation did they give you in the tunes again?

Rob,
2 degrees for the 100 shot
3 degrees for the 125 shot
4 degrees for the 150 shot
6 degrees for the 200 shot

I plan to start on and probably only use the 150 shot. Someday if I can beef up the bottom end I'll use the 200 shot.

Hi Dean,

glad you are happy with the first stage on the NA.

Let's make sure everything runs fine with the NOS setup now.

Did ask you if you wanted to see the ignition maps so you can consult with the NOS guys. Let me know if you need these, will send them over.

Right now retardation has been done under instruction only but I doubt consideration has been given to what the actual ignitoin targets are to start with. Quite radical!

It looks like they adapted/installed a NOS universal wet kit.

1 line to the spray nozzle - Dry kit
2 lines to the spray nozzle - Wet kit

Yeah, it looks like an NOS brand wet kit.

Was able to meet with Rob in Chicago Monday and we finished the install with connecting to the RPM wire and the throttle position sensor wire. We also verified that the Evolve tune is spot on with the air to fuel ratio through all RPM ranges. Rob also configured the progressive controller and we did some high RPM runs & verified that the solenoids operate as required upon reaching 3000 RPM and that they cut out at 8400 RPM. The Maximizer 4 Progressive Controller is a really cool controller and has really easy to use set up screens associated with it. Rob can probably explain better what it's capabilities are. He has some great tools to check AFR and really knows his s@!t. I was very impressed. If you're in the Chicago area and want to verify your AFR/tune etc definitely get with him. THANKS AGAIN ROB!!! Now I just have to install my colder NGK plugs and fill the E85 fuel tank and nitrous tank & it's ready to go.

I can't believe evolve has a nitrous tune for this. I pretty much threw the nitrous idea away once I decided to get tuned and installed the kit on my suv lol!

This thread may be enough motivation for me to install it again. Thanks for the service dean and enjoy your time back!
