Finally dyno'ing the beast on tuesday

ok so it will finally be dyno'd now that i've put about 350miles on the car since I got the evolve tune stage2 with removal of MAF. I just want to confirm whats the best way to dyno it? Im sure my shop already knows since they dyno'd in before but im presuming you turn trac control off? And start in what gear,etc...?

You have to turn the traction control off and if you have the speed limioter removed, do it in the 6th gear.

Good Luck!

DSC off...Hood has to be latched, and I thought 5th gear was 1:1...but I am sure Hasan knows more than me so I would listen to him on 6th gear. Big fan in front should help if you have the scoops.

If its dyno dynamics then 3rd gear would be appropriate. Sal used 4th gear on his machine.

The 5th gear is 1:1 for MT cars.

For SMG cars the 1:1 is 6th gear.

Excellent point on latching the hood. The car will not drive until the hood is latched. Also, it can be very dangerous as a good fan can cause damage to the hood.

The gear selection also depends on the dyno. Some dynos are not calibrated to run beyond a ceratin speed.
