No it was in M mode. I forget the names but it was at max hp setting. I always drive in that mode.

I'll ask them thanks.

I have been looking into this specific case alot.

All other AlphaN cars have been running flawlessly over the globe (Taiwan, UK, Middle East, USA, Scandanavia). The mapping is done in the same way, checked everything time and time again.

What is interesting is that the car only makes 300 RWHP and runs lambda 1 target under full load. Just like any stock car would in P400 mode!

Now, if the car made 300RWHP in P500 the customer would be coming back and saying the car is very slow. That I already know is not true. Infact the opposite is true.

The shape of the power curve is very much like that in P400 mode.

A dyno test done by MCP some time back.

This is P400 vs P500 with the primary CAT's removed.

Notice the AFR is almost 15 upto 6750rpm

Given the target based nature of the DME, gutting the stock cats would make no difference and the system would still achieve the factory targets.

hey sal, not to go off topic but maybe you can confirm something here. i was under the impression that the different programs ie p400, p500 etc just changed the throttle mapping. so if im understanding correctly the p400 program actually reduces hp output?

Hi,

Yes, P400 is basically 400hp and it's done by reduced throttle angle and less ignition advance amongst a few other controlling factors.

P400 = 400hp
P500 = 500hp

Or...

P400 = 400 HP + mods
P500 = 500 HP + mods

I would guess that it's a linear reduction.

Ok Sal so what do you think the problem is? B/c before the tune my cars AFR was fine and it made 425rwhp on a mustang dyno which is a lot(almost 570 crank HP) all ive added is an RPI pulley and the Alpha N tune and now the AFR's are high and its making less power.

Built240: Before the Alpha N tune did you have the standard Evolve tune? what was your AFR like then?
