While installing my nitrous I was looking at the MAF's and it appears to be enough of an obstruction to affect air flow. Supposedly the air is traveling at about 750 MPH in an intake manifold and any obstruction that close to the engine probably produces negative effects if only a very small %. I'll remove the MAF's when I get my tune.

I have an the Jaws Alpha N tune and the CAI so I have no MAFs in my intake. I would think you would want to remove them to create smoother airflow but Im not sure how you will cover the hole in the intake tubing.

B/c they didnt want to push it with the car running lean. Plus the car is underperforming now which is odd b/c it still feels super fast. I just hope no motor damage has occured if I have been driving like this but I would think I would get a code if so. Only code that has stayed on is the cel and it just says "increased emissions' and when scanned its that dmtl which just seems to be normal to pop up if your running no cats but we'll see what evolve says.

That is quite lean.

Are you running the Alpha N tune?

No intake mods. Just rpi scoops, bmc filtrs, block off plates. Other Mods include gutted primary cats, active autowerk exhaust, rpi pulley. This was Sal's response:

It’s not dangerously lean and it’s actually still considered as ‘RICH’.

Any AFR above 14.7 AFR is lean.

It is very strange that this is occurring.

I am going to do a complete software update on the DME.

They will have the files by tomorrow and then if I have to I will live tune the car on their dyno.

BUT… I am a little suspect that there may be a reason why this is running leaner that I would like.

It might be your O2 sensors bro.

If your shop has a pair of sensors for testing, put them on and see if there is any difference.
