Does anyone recognize this problem? I might be going crazy

Hello everyone,

I hope you can help me out. I am experiencing weird things while driving.

When I press the M button it should go into 500S, and it always used to, but now it seems like I'm stuck with 400 HP. It just feels so slow. Also when shifting to a new gear it will go into gear immediately, but it seems that it lags for a second after engaging and then it goes.. not extremely slow but it just doesn't feel like all 500 horses are being used.

Also you know how the paddle gets more sensitive when in 500S mode? That seems to be gone as well.

The computer is not giving me any error.
I recently had a new clutch installed, but that was about 1000 miles ago and I'm pretty sure this only just started happening.

Am I going crazy or has someone experienced this before? Would appreciate your input. Thank you

Humidity and Heat affect these bad boys more than you can imagine; IMO it's probably fine, just not as beastly as in the cold.

Did you grab the wrong set of keys? It happened to me before I started driving with my other set and M mode didn't have the same punch as it did. Ended up the other keys were programmed to have MDM mode off.

Check your settings make sure the M button preference are set as expected, do you have an MDM light when it is on? With MDM off the car will not pack as much power vs. full traction control.

Good luck!

Hello,

thank you for your replies and suggestions. I am using the same set of keys and made sure that it says P500 Sport in the settings. It is quite hot here at the moment... but only since a few days so I doubt it's the reason, so I am still trying to figure it out lol.

Greetings!

Trust me, it's the heat/humidity.

Give it a run on the highway; if it still has some punch to it then it's fine.
