Want a track car - Selling my '07 M6 Vert with warranty

Hey Everyone,
After much thought, I have decided to put up for sale my 2007 vert with 38k mi and full warranty. I absolutely love this car but I want a designated track car and I do not have the heart to turn her into a track beast, plus the track I want to go to doesn't allow verts. This car has NEVER been on a track, I bought it mainly as a weekend cruiser. This was my first luxury/performance car and she has been babied accordingly. She is in perfect condition and has had ALL service/repair done at the BMW dealership, including a recent SMG pump replacement. I would like to get $47k which includes a platinum extended warranty 3yrs left up to 75K mi.

This board continues to be an awesome resource for M6 enthusiasts, thank you to everyone who contributes. I am a huge ///M fan and I am considering a gutted M3 for the track.

I will be posting it in the for sale section with more details on the car, but I just thought I would throw it up here first.
Thanks,
Brad

Hey Drop Top I understand your dilemma, we tracked our vert once and after a hot session to see her smoking at all 4 corners and tires coated in paddock debris we realized that this awesome car was not going to be our track day car. We are likely going to get a supercharged e-46 or e-92 M3 depending on what is available this fall. The beast will remain the wife's daily driver. I definitely want SMG or DCT and I think I will be disappointed without at least 400 hp. I am a class of 77 CDO alum, lived in Tuscon for 15 years.
Good luck!

Hey Mike! I feel the same way, I absolutely worship this car but I've been bitten by the track bug and I don't want to subject my beast to regular track abuse.

By the way I am also CDO alumni- class of 96! Do you remember any classmates with the last name Flint, Tucker, Sekeller or Weidner? Just a long shot, but it's a small world!

Hey Brad,
Off the top of my head I believe we had a Fred Flint and a Janice Tucker in our class. Where do you track a car in Tucson? My mom still lives out near Catalina and I do get back there a couple of times a year.

Hey Mike! I just sent you a PM, it seems that we know some of the same people! It is crazy how small the world is, much less than seven degrees of separation.....

There are some great tracks out here. There is an excellent private motor sports ranch down near Benson, very exclusive. Arroyo Seco across the border in NM is really cool. Also up the road in Phoenix are a couple of good tracks that seem to always have open events. There are so many opportunities to run your car, you can be busy every weekend. I am sooo tempted to take out my beast, but just don't want to abuse her.

Unable to PM yet but got your message. Will certainly look you up next time around and hope to get to that gathering one day as well. My brother in law in Phoenix has an M5 and has been out on PIR.
Have fun at the track and be safe,
Mike

Good luck on your search! I traded in my track car for my m6, so it was an opposite move for me. Traded in my boss 302 that I absolutely miss. Was able to put out really respectable times and best of all parts and maintenance was cheap. Not to mention it had the best resale value of any car I ever owned. I'd choose that over any e36-90 m3. I was fortunate enough to drive them back to back on the track and the general consensus was that the boss was superior to the m3

Hey, thanks for that perspective. It is funny you mention the Boss 302- I have been eyeing those recently, seems like a respectable track car.
I can officially start looking..... Just sold the M6 today to a real nice guy up in Phoenix, he should be joining the board shortly.
It has been an absolute pleasure to interact with everyone on this board, it is by far the most helpful and respectful forum out there. I'll keep you posted when I decide on my track car!

I have an E46 M3 fully built track car. Totally reinforced rear end ( I'm not talking about that simple turner kit either), full race spec six point rollcage, complete motec stand alone computer system (over $10k in stand alone computer system) , and the best piece of information saved for last is the LS6 pushing out close to 500HP and torque to match under the hood. This car pretty much got all the bells and whistle that you would want in a track beast. I'm debating if I want to sell it or not though at this time. I can provide a lot more information if anyone is interested.

I currently have a 650 and was debating if I wanted to get an M6 also but it's all in the air because the older I get I kinda want to relax with the toys and get a house I can call my own.
