Maf cleaning.. Am I being stupid?

I have found a DIY on here how to clean the mafs with the crc cleaner... However no diys seem to explain if you are meant to spray the wire resistor on the outside or the metal like film is the square bit on the top... Or both? Anyone able to help? In the middle of this now... Thanks

You should be able to see the wire resistor.

Just give it a modest spray from about a foot away and let it dry out. Repeat this like 3 times and you are all good.

Good Luck!
Hasan

Well done Bro!

A little wet here and there is ok, as long as you let it dry out completely before you plug it in and drive it. Too much spray or spraying from too short a distance can sometimes destroy the MAF.
