Thanks for sharing. How come the sound system is a 6k package? seems a bit high... Can you contrast the day to day drive characteristics vs the e63 (power delivery, steering feel, interior comfort/noise, etc) ?

Congratulations on the new car. If you are willing to and still have the E63, a video of a race between the F13 and E63 will certainly be the first one in the universe.

That is a sick idea!! To race the old one vs new one. Consider it done I need to set it up and get some decent footage and do it right. Thanks for the idea I bet that would get all kinds of hits on you tube. And thank you for giving me a reason to not feel so bad buying the new one before I sold the previous one this race will make it all worth it. Btw I'm in montreal if anyone wants to. Help set this thing up let me know

Hey what's up? So after the weekend I will have a better idea on the car. Since I just got it yesterday but so far I feel the car has more kick to it when you hit the gas you move there's no delay and def a lot quicker then the smg and smoother. I always found the e63 a bit slow on the gear changing but when you luv your car it just seems perfect. But with the F13. For some reason I can't pin point it I don't feel like I'm driving a better m6. I feel like I'm driving the only m6. They just perfected everything and gave you all the luxuries and gadgets like I have in my 750 2011. Along with all the power you can ever want.. And personally I'm not a fan of the back but hey it def works!! Even the led in the front you don't need rto buy any after market halos. Because the one they put in is just stunning no upgrades needed. Even the exaust. I bought an exaust right away for my e63. And was planning on buying one right away for this one too but I'm not sure I need to it def sounds great!!! I like it a bit louder. But I got to say it has that rumble you excpect to hear when you punch it. So its hard to find many faults. In the car and that's why its so amazing. I haven't said once. Oh I want to upgrade this or its the only thing I don't like. About this car. I still can't think of that one thing. On the trunk lid. It has a button to lock all the. Doors so you don't need to get your remote you push the lock doors close the trucnk and beep it locks. The only thing I can actually wish for on this car is a hard top conveertable. That I think would be clutch. And can someone plz tell me what the hell is the telephone contraption thing in the armrest for. I have it in the 750 as well. Who still uses car phones??? Am I missing something???? Plz help

Definitely looks awesome! Congrats!

FYI, the exhaust sound is really not that good. It is actually weak. To make up for it, BMW pipes in the exhaust sound to the stereo system so the driver can hear it from the inside.

I know because I test drove the new M5 in Spain last year during the new M5 launch. And I have also done extensive reading.

At any rate, it is one fine machine and will out run our NA V10 anytime any place.

Thanks again for all the photos and info.

Hey bud I agree with you on the exaust sound but at the higher rpms it does grumble so you def hear something as you excpect I still wish it was a bit louder and I was discussing with my bmw guy about removing the secondary cats to get it a bit louder. Since before I got the car I was 1000 pct going to. Slap on a decemt exaust but now I'm enjoying. The peacfullness when I'm cruising on the hiway and don't get that rumble that's in your ear at like 3000 rpm. But then again when I gun it or start it up cold or just random reving I want. To freaking hear that mother f..... Engine loud. Which I'm used to on my last m6. So I'm kind of torn on changing the whole new exaust and spending all that $ and just always have the ggrrrrrr. Or just making it a bit louder and tougher and that would be perfect. One of the guys here posted a great idea which I'm going to start working on right away is to set up a race between my 2007 v10 vs this new one. I just want to do it properly and find a good spot and get a good cmera crew. Or something along those lines I don't have the slightest clue how to arrange it but I will start working on it. What do you think about that idea? Is it as good as it sounds am I crazy for luving. The idea? And putting time and money into it? Or is a total must if its doable? Can I get some imput guys?

Dont forget, you first need to get past the proper break in period so that your engine will last longer and so that BMW will honor your warranty.

Easy also on the mods as the dealership is always looking for ways and reason not to honor warranty. So whatever mod you do - you may want to ensure it is easily reversible.

2nd, I dont know if you will find very many volunteers to race you. Our NA V10 is no match for the TTV8. Specs says it all.

TTV8 has more torque and more HP. The results will be very predictable.

If the V10 is modded (headers, exhaust, ecu) it will be interesting to compare...

And please remember, races starts at 88 mph

Some serious **** - YouTube

I know, to compare fair you have to race stock vs. stock ;-)

Don't mean to argue but I've read that the V-10 will eventually overtake the V-8 in a quarter mile and longer race. Especially the E63 coupe vs the new convertible M6. Why? Weight-the new convertible is heavy, and the V-10 will rev and pull into the 8,000 rpm range.

beautiful car!!!

I wonder how much boost those stock turbos can take. I dont remember much about turbo cars other than the 94tt supra I had and that thing was nuts. Stock boost was at 9psi but with a downpipe, exhast and boost controller you could run 18psi all day long. It had one of the strongest 6cyl blocks I have ever seen. I had friends that were running 800rwph all day long on the stock block for years as a daily driver and never had motor problems. That was decades ago but im wondering what kinda mod's will be available for this badboy. Possibly bigger twin's,etc... Gonna be cool.
