Yep raised to 8,600rpm. Have hit that note a couple of times since the tune and it is very sweet indeed. By the way the evolve tune has also somehow smoothened my gear changes - less of a lag between changes which makes the experience so much more pleasant.

Quick update -- started car this morning cold start -- all was fine and normal thank God. Will be putting on some good miles this week to see if the problem returns.

Glad it's gone....i was thinking the worst, like a spun bearing or something...espcially with the rev limit raised. Glad everything seems to be back to normal

Glad it's sorted out.

Mechanical noises like this are often never related to tuning.

Cars running great. Took it to the shop with OP and re-bled the vanos and cleared adaptations and sound hasn't been back yet. InshaAllah sound and issues have disappeared for good.

Someone explain that to our local Red M3 boy! His "it's the tune's fault" saga has been going on since Feb 2010.
