Thanks. I sent an email. I know that your tire and wheel setup works well. Just wondered of it made sense to run a slightly wider tire to help with the extra weight and hp vs an M3.

I'd be curious to hear what Kevin tells you. I've seen their M6 several times at Barber Motorsports over the years, but I never looked at the tire sizes on it. All of their Conti's they had in their race tent stacked up that I saw were 275/35's....so if I had to guess, they used the same size on their M6 race car....but hopefully Kevin will clarify. Also, a lot of people just assume...but their M6 is really not a M6. It is a tube chassis with M6 panels, and I think, used the same V8 that they use in their M3's.
My set-up works great on the track. It is very balanced running the 275/35's on the 9.5's squared. Much better than the OE staggered sizes. If anything run a 285/35 squared...or if you can find the right offset wheels, go 275/35 on a 10" wheel squared. I've got a set of Nitto NT-01 275/35's that will be going on next, which are wider than the Conti scrubs

I think they use 18" wheels. Not sure about the other dimensions.

Kevin didn't give the tire data for the M6 race car. He said it was a tube frame car and the info would be irrelevant. Makes sense. He did say that I could run a wider tire in the rear on a 10" wide rim if I didn't have to run a square setup, ie. 285, 295.

Yeah... There is plenty of room for a 285 or 295 on the rear on a 10" wheel. I'm running a 19x11" wheel on the rear with a 285 for my street set up, and there is still room. I test fitted a 305 and it fits fine with no issues.....BUT, it will depend heavily on your offset.
Only reason i'm running the 275's squared for my 18x9.5 track setup is because it is a common size in a R compound with plenty of brand options...and honestly i have no traction issues running that size squared in R comps
