Thanks! It was super easy....I just masked the M6 logos with blue painters tape, then just sprayed the side grilles with matte black engine paint. That was over a year ago, and they still look great...no chips, pealing, etc. My front grilles are aftermarket

That's what I figured I've just never herd anybody call it that.

You think the Eisenmann is to loud?

All the videos I've seen of M6's with Eisenmann sounds so nasty.

Catsfan to change out the grille don't you have to take off the cover underneath the hood by the grille?

I used this DIY by member whatheheck. It is very simple. The first time I removed my grill I removed the star bits that hold the top of the bumper on in order to remove a few of the top clips. Last week when I put a few more coats on it I got brave and just pulled it out. None of the clips broke and it snapped right back in.

How to remove kidney grille - DIY

If anyone decides to do this and needs help taking the actual grill apart I would be happy to post pictures.

Edit: Also a thank you to Dan for the informative write up. Your posts have been most helpful to me as a new M6 owner.

I think it would look fine with them mixed.. I personally would black them both out. For sure do the front grills though, it will look 1000% better. I get countless compliments on how good the black on red looks
