Any idea whats required to remove the rear axle nut? BMW Lied.

Well I had my car up on a lift to replace the rear wheel bearing o the passenger rear of my 2006 M6, and It looks like a 12 point socket. I had a 32mm 12 point and it was too small. I called BMW this morning, and they said it is a 32mm 12 point socket to take it out. Obviously this is not the case. Any one know the actual tool required to remove the center axle nut?
