Not having success with Evlove's tune at all.

Its been over a month now and I have not been able to have the tune installed. I ordered the stage 2 and once it got here i had to wait again b/c the boss cover for the MAF was not included. So then that arrived and I take my car in to have my shop, who are sponsors here ACG, do the tune after they install my underdrive pulley. They are not able to pull my stock tune b/c the software Evolve sent wouldnt let them. We have tried like 4 times now from different lab tops and they still keep getting the same error. Evolve is on a totally diff time zone and Sal has been trying to help but this is getting crazy now. Almost a month of me bringing the car back and fourth to the shop and they cant even pull my factory tune. Maybe the cable Evlove sent me is faulty but this seems to be a pretty easy job from reading the reviews here so I have no idea what the deal is. Im going to have Sean from my shop explain exactly what the problem is and maybe someone here can help b/c its very difficult to get ahold of anyone at Evlove since im in the U.S.

I did it with no issue and I am no computer wiz. Hopefully try can step up as they do have a US presence. I would expect no less from them. Salman has sent information in the middle of the night his time.

This has been my experience with them as well. I replied in the post from the E60 section:

Not having success with Evlove's tune at all.

Built240- I hope you get it straightened out soon. I assure you the outcome will leave you beyond satisfied.

That's a pain in the neck but seems to be an anomaly. I did hear of another similar case that was eventually concluded successfully and to the user's complete satisfaction. Sounds like the same issues and I would try pm'g Sal if you have not already.

I think it is either your recent engagement or those lambo doors that could be the problem.

Hope they can solve it for you quickly. You shouldn't have to take it to anyone to install. I downloaded the stock tune, emailed it to them, got the new tune back in email. Uploaded it...then done. Very simple process

What error code are you getting? It could have something to do with your laptop as well ??

Tuning is tricky stuff sometimes, especially when you are dealing with a company half way around the world. Im having some issues with my JAWS tune. Apparently my car had been tuned by the previous owner, I think a Dinan tune, and it has caused some issues for me. So now Im having to drop another $120 to have the newest BMW tune put back on my car, pull that off, send it to JAWS and have them rebuild the tune.

Be patient, you will love the results once the tune is in place!!

This is very sad.

Did you try to contact their US agent Paul? He should be able to help you out.

I believe your security certificate for the software has expired. This should be a simple and straight forward fix.

In addition, they might not be happy with a potential competitor using their software and reading their tunes.

If this is the problem then you can download the latest software from here:

Instruction Manuals

at the bottom of the page there is a link.

also I read somewhere if the computer that is flashing the tune has virus scan on, it could cause problems.

Good luck.

Hi,

getting a third party involved really lengthens the entire process.

The evolve-R is an end user product where we deal directly with the customer and can help solve any issues directly in the fastest manner.

It is extremely rare to have a faulty cable as they are all tested before they leave the UK.

Today I have a firm appointment @6pm UK time to login to the 3rd parties PC remotely and see what the issue is.

I will be updating what the issue was this evening.
