installed 10W Angel eyes

Okay, so I got my 10W angel eyes upgrade from ebay
WHITE BMW E39 E53 E60 E61 E63 E64 E65 E66 E83/87 LED ANGEL EYES LIGHT BULBS 10W | eBay

And I installed them today. I originally had AiB V3 for my e39 M5 and I must say not that much different. For those just reading this post, I wanted to try to get AE upgrade so bright like the LCI ones that it could be clearly visible during daytime.

I know as far as angel eyes Dan has tried everything in the book to try to get them bright, but I can't do what Dan does haha
so I figure I give these a shot and I think pictures speak louder than words here... take a look

I took side by side comparison shots between my stock ones, and took some pics in the garage and outdoor. The weather here in Atlanta is pretty bad so it was by no means a sunny day. Just take a look and tell me what you think

Here you go:

Alright here you go:

I purchased this new plug and play LED angel eyes from eBay. 10W Cool white LED.

eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace

Summary:
Design is pretty good. Aluminum housing throughout to absorb heat generated by the 10W LED.

LED driver housing is not very well put together. The ends of the LED housing is not sealed with a sealant so if moisture or water gets in there - LED driver will short out and die.

The locking ring is not very tight so it spins around a little bit when I try to install it.

I would say this one is brighter than Angel iBright ver 3. I would say this one puts out about 500 lumens.

I agree that what we want is what BMW currently installs on their latest models X3 and 5 series and 6 series. Really bright cool white LED's.
We just need to get a part number of the AE assembly and determine if its compatible with our M6. This is the brightest LED AE out there right now for BMW's.

When my M6 is being serviced I had a 2012 5 series as a loaner car, I tried to get to the LED angel eyes but it was not an easy access from the engine compartment to get to it so I was not able to see if the 2012 LED AE is compatible with our M6. Sorry.

At any rate, here are some photos of the eBay UK made 10 watt LED angel eyes.

I would give it an 8 out of 10. I heard great things about the Mtec ver 3. Kindly post photos if anyone has tried them.

Dan

Okey, I just checked Mtec Ver 3 specs and the bulb they use for their version 3 is only 6 Watt.

So the one I purchased in eBay is brighter as it is a 10 watt Cree LED. Just thought I'd share.
