Noticed a few pretty cool announcements from fellow M6’ers who got engaged or are planning on doing so (congrats again guys!)! I don’t have anything that exciting to share, other than announcing my wife and I hit a huge milestone today – she actually rode in the M6 today for what is basically the first time! We’ve had the car for 2 months now but we were traveling, the car was in the shop (cosmetic stuff, nothing mechanical) and after that we’ve been swamped (her parents were visiting, she has just graduated w a masters degree and is job hunting etc!). Hard to believe, but the first time she actually got to experience a drive longer than 10 mins was today. I’m sharing her impressions below as a female who is NOT a car enthusiast!
ˇ She loves the looks. She thinks its sleek and understated, calls it a 'gentlemans racer'.
ˇ She feels the car suits my personality well and I look good in it (she didn’t feel the same way about my Audi TT).
ˇ She hates the cold statup (I also have a Dinan catback). Thinks its TOOO loud (sets of neighboring car alarms, etc) and immature
ˇ She LOVES the exhaust note when the car revs, especially in tunnels. She hates loud exhausts (thinks they are boy-racer), but thinks this hits the right blend of sounding suitably sophisticated and aggressive.
ˇ She thinks the seats are too hard (compared to a friends Volvo S60, which has seats that are hard to beat) but loves the adjustability (she has very long legs and appreciates the front seat extenders). I dont argue with women with long legs.
ˇ Loves the upgraded speakers/sound system (this was a factory option I believe) and acoustics in the M6. She thinks its as close to a concern hall/orchestra that she has experienced from a music system.
ˇ Loves the leather wrapped dash and light golden wood interior (noticed she was caressing the leather a few times). Thinks it’s a step up from my Audi's interior, which was actually pretty good (While always reminding me how she is glad she didn’t get stuck in the interior of the Camaro ZL1 or 2013 GT500 that I was eyeing prior to the M6, LOL)
ˇ Prefers the suspension in sport mode over comfort. I’ve noticed she either likes a Lexus like plushness on suspensions or a firm BMW sport feel (my Audi has a stiff suspension that she seemed to like), hates stuff in the middle. She mentioned the comfort mode felt bouncy, the sport was perfect (I couldn’t agree more!)
ˇ She mentioned the car hides its speed. 60mph felt like 45, 110 (theoretical of course) felt like 65. She mentioned the car felt more settled and stable the faster we went, almost like 100mph and above is where it was designed to spend its time
ˇ She mentioned the acceleration is deceiving, unlike the Turbo cars or American muscle cars that we’ve driven, she felt the M6 adds on speed more akin to a jet taking off (progressively faster) than the 'neck snapping kick in your pants short bursts of acceleration' in those cars.
Anyway, that was about all (and she felt road noise was not too bad, especially compared to my Audi). She LOVES the car, and we both hope to enjoy it over the coming weekend when we take a trip to the mountains of Oregon for some R&R time.

Memorable cars I've driven
| 2011 Audi S4: Best handling, grip, comfort balance in real world roads | 2011 Dodge Challenge R/T: Personification of muscle car, awesome comfy highway/boulevard cruiser with looks to match, great burnouts | 2012 Camaro SS: Gets stares everywhere, pulls like a locomotive | E36 M3: Best M3 made, bar none. Most nimble car I've driven | 2008 Evo X: Bionically connected to your brain | 2008 Aston Martin V8 Vantage: The exhaust note is pure music | 2012 Boss 302 Mustang: Raw, loud, V8 Vantage for the redneck |Buddies tuned 580 HP/550torque E55AMG: Spins the wheels at 60mph!

Yeah the car is very stable at high speeds, you don't even notice how fast you are going.

It is impressive the power just keeps coming (feels limitless even on a straight away on a track no speed limits), 60 to 80+ comes quick. Even in 7th gear at 60 you can still increases speed no problem. I've driven some quick cars but as soon as they hit 60 or 70 the pick up speed is just not there like the M6.
good write up! Girls I date don't ever care....That's why they dont last!
LOL!!! My wife said the car would not affect her choice to date/marry someone (thats probably a good thing), however, the man does get points for having a cool (not necessarily expensive) ride. She says it shows the guy knows how to relax and have some fun. Cool of course is subjective, example its -150 points for a 370Z (she thinks it looks like a pimply faced spiked haired high schoolers car), +100 for a M6, +50 for a Fiat 500 Abarth, +150 for a Vintage Jag, 0 for a Mercedes C63 AMG (she cant tell that car is special, I guess coz it looks exactly like any C class to the untrained eye!), -50 for a GTR (I know, she thinks its hella ugly), +125 for an R8 (she likes the eyeliner, LOL)

I swear. The car just keeps getting faster that faster you go and higher you move up the tach. It's totally nuts. I think the V10, gearing and the slippery bullet like shape all play a part.
You're a lucky man! The other day I asked my fiancé what her favorite part of my car was and she answered, "when it's stopped".
Ouch!!! LOL, if this helps, my wife didnt like the Audi TT I had back when we met, so there's still hope your fiance may warm up to the V10 over time or worst case, your next ride!!!
