Hi Pyro,

Did you manage to load the FSC? I somehow think that you would need to order the FSC based on the VIN which is loaded in your CIC. However, I am not 100% sure.

2007 M6 CIC + Combox + Media Snap-In

Hello all,

I have the same problem, however from the begining I have a Daten 46.6 in my CIC, when I have E90 coded in, the combox has SMS, BT Audio, USB iPod Covers, but it doesn't have the Video over Snap-In as well as my iPhone doesn't show "recent calls" or "last calls" and my phone book over BT doesn't show complete.
Now I didn't get to the merging part of E90 to E60, but I want to make sure that options I want work, and these are the option I'm looking for

iPod - Video thru Snap-In or USB
and my BT iPhone options (last call, received calls, etc.)

That is all I want, can someone help me to do this, or do it remotely, I'll pay, just to make sure a volunteer understands, I do want my E64 M options in theMenu Settings + the above 2 options.

Thanks

So there are two separate and distinct problems that you have written;

- The Snap-In adaptor usage for video requires a wiring change that a few members have done successfully. It uses FBAS inputs behind the CIC in order to get video from the Snap-In adaptor handheld. (iPhone, iPod, etc). These instructions are documented on many sites and one member here just completed that upgrade. Perhaps he will answer as well with specific instructions
- The BT options are coding issues. If you look back to post # 15, I have my CIC .TRC file, which is a result of the proper merged E6x/E9x files. And I too have a Cabrio, so the file should work for you as well.

Just save your CIC file and write mine (of course you will have to recode video in motion if you're using the coding method), after you code my file. Short of that, the BT should start working and all the M Cab options should as well.

Video out is a hardware/sw coding addition that come later.

Quick question on your merged combox TRC file

Hi!

I know this is the lazy man's way but I think I can use your TRC file for my car as I think we have basically the same cars

Can you confirm you have enabled internet live, connected drive, 6NR/6NF with the eject box? Sat radio and enhanced premium sound?

You rock!

Thanks

Yes you can however, the .trc file will only allow the options that are enabled from the firmware version that is actually in the CIC. Example; if you have firmware versions prior to v41/42, it will not have the 6NR option. If you have ver 41/42, it will show the 6NR option, anything newer and it will not show the 6NR option. So merely having a .trc file to write, will not give you all the enabled options, only what matches the firmware level of the CIC

Bottom line, you can write my file without issue ( you will need to code to KOMBI afterwards of you'll liky have an SOS error), and you'll have the CIC functions commensurate with the firmware level of your CIC.

P.S. I do not have an eject box for the iPhone. Takes up too much space so I just plug my phone into the USB port/Y cable, in the center compartment when I want iPhone full connectivity. So no 6NF is written in my .trc file. You can add it in your VO, then the options will appear in your CIC.
