M6 CIC retrofit fitting questions

ok so ive got all of the kit now and the emulator etc.... couple of questions... how do you get the old iDrive controller out? and how do you get the trim infront of the cic unit off? dont worry ive worked out how to ge tthe screen out :P

Did you get a new console for the new iDrive controller, or are you going to cut the existing one?

It's all right here. The post above explains it easily. Pop the hazard switch assay out with a trim removal tool. remove the single screw just behind it, then the rest of the panels are removed with the trim removal tool. They are pressed in with flat springs. the iDrive controller knob is removed by prying up

sorry dont mean the knob i mena the whole unit as i have the cic one? not going to cut was going to make a new surround for it as with no surround the cic controller is actually smaller than the early one however the surround is chunky so with make my own.....

The bottom picture above details removing the controller. First button, then controller (secured underneath console)

I'd really suggest reading the thread Zerocks1 has posted in the multiple threads you've created on your CIC retrofit. Look at post 31 and then the M6 CIC thread post 13 Consoles and fit are different.
