Goodies From Dinan (Warning Lots of Pics)
I received my Dinan Goodies during the past few weeks and finally had a chance to install them at a good friend's home. This is the first phase of my suspension upgrade. I purchased the Dinan Rear Sway Bar from a board member, the Front Roll Control System from Dinan, and the Carbon Fiber Rear Upper Strut Tower Brace, "New and Unopened", from Ebay and saved a ton of money. This is the first phase and I have to thank my good friend George (GKInvest) for his advice. My initial driving impressions is that the car corners much flatter with improved rotation and transition to acceleration. My ultimate goal is to dial out as much of the understeer, as possible.
While I still haven't decided on which springs...this was the first step. Camber/Caster plates are also on the list. My goal is to handle the suspension upgrades before the end of this month, move to brakes in April and decide on exhaust and lastly install my Evolve tune in the late April/Early May timeframe. I generally like to drive the car for a bit once a mod is complete to feel the difference.
I've included pics of the parts including their blessing from the Driving Deity!! Additionally, I threw in some pics of my buddy's R8 V10...WOW! What an amazing car! It is now on the short list.
The final photo was taken after the installation was complete and we were partaking of a couple of great cigars (Thanks again, George) and a glass of port of a chilly evening.
