I still wouldn't do it for my car due to unsprung weight issues (previously mentioned), but in black they do look nice on your M5 (so much better than the taco shell yellow ones). Thanks for posting photos.

I dont think they weigh very much. They are only aluminum covers so most likely less than half a pound each?

They're just a few oz. each but do look good in the right color.

I agree, as long as you are happy with them - that is all that matters. I have a set on my '07 M6 and I think they look very nice. I get compliments all the time. I have attached a couple of pics. One con of having painted calipers, is the chipping that happens when you have the brake pads changed.
