There are lots of E39/E60/E61 owners in the area!! It's difficult to find good twisty roads that aren't either congested with traffic or swarming with cops. If you're NE Atlanta I'd suggest shooting up I-85 to I-985. I know they actually do some midnight racing up there because there are so few cops. There are several long stretches with few neighborhoods so cops don't usually bother to set up traps that far. If you want to do mountain runs and willing to drive a couple of hours there are several routes. We have a local Atlanta M-club that meets pretty regularly and we've been discussing doing a run before the weather turns. Here's a map of some mountain run options we're considering (including Dragon's Tale at the NC/TN border):
We're actually having a meet this Saturday, October 1st, at 5:00pm in Alpharetta if you're interested. It would be a good opportunity for you to meet some local M guys and share some knowledge. Here's the link to the post:

We also have a community page where we post updates for meets and photos. The address for the Saturday meet is here:

Don't forget that Caffeine and Octane is this Sunday, 10/2, at Northview High School. See the link here...
