Frank, I'm unable to respond to PM's due to my low post count, but here is the thread I referenced: I changed my oil on my 2007 M6 Convertible
The oil filter is easily accessed with the car jacked up and passenger side wheel removed. Its behind an access panel in the forward part of the wheelhouse, behind the front bumper. Its real simple once you've done it once. The drain plugs are 6mm allens, the filter housing will remove with a 24mm wrench or a large oil filter wrench. Have a small tupperware handy to catch the oil from the housing and plenty of rags. If I can be of any more assistance, I can respond fast to email at zelone@aol.com
