don't you guys think we should join BMW CCA somewhere next year, I think Dan is a part of BMW CCA.
They do have a lot of track event, so we might learn a lot from them
More importantly, they'll teach us "over steer" skill like the one on the video!
I'm a member of BMW CCA as well. Our club does about 4 track events at Virginia International Raceway a year. There is also a local autocross club that does at least one event a month in the local area. Be advised thought that for fellow Cabrio owners, BMW CCA will not let you on the race track!!
In order to get my car out on the track I need to join the Ferrari or Porche club- no cabrio restrictions with them...
We can clearly see both passenger and driver ejected off the car, both landed and bounced off the ground.
I wonder if they survived that crash.
Yes, I highly recommend you folks take the BMW CCA puget sound driving class / car control clinic.
I assure you you will learn a lot and will have fun.
Now is also a good time to find a great deal on a helmet as you will need one for the clinic.
Lots of great deal on helmets on Craigslist and eBay.
no comment on Dan's video. .they're indeed have a mad skills, but what were they thinking!!!
I hope they're not ended up like this
Arab drifting,Bad crash!! - YouTube ouich
Regarding BMW CCA, too bad that the last events was done last September 5th, so we might need to wait for next year guys:cheers:
The video Dan put up speaks volumes about how different things can be in other parts of the world. I bet we all know what the school bus driver was saying … ugg
Holy Smokes, like it or not, those dudes in your first video can drive. Most of the times going off the road into a dirt, or spinning a car backwards, or 360 degrees is disconcerting, but not for these guys. What a freakin' mess to have that on public streets.
The biggest shock was to see that they were doing all of this in a HONDA ACCORD!!!!
Ha, break it and go get a new one. The dealer must love them, I would imagine that they break them in a couple of months doing that stuff. We wouldn't have it on our streets, can you imagine some guy drift-passing you on the emergency shoulder kicking up grass and gravel at 80 mph?
You are right, backwards, sideways, nothing seems to faze them. All while not hitting the curb, or a pole, or other cars. Although your other video's show the less than perfect runs!
Drifting always looked fun... but without a sponsorship from a tire company and a few sets of wheels per weekend... I don't think the return-on-investment would warrant my attention.
As far as people standing so close to the road while they are drifting ... I guess it goes the same with World Rally Car Fans ... I'll never understand why spectators get SO near the raceway
I don't know whether to applaud or cry after seeing that video! h:
If or when I get an M6 I pray it is not a car that was put through the paces like this one. Me thinks he doesn't treat it gentle when the camera is off.
Those were just disturbing. I what a potential for a bloodbath! Who would stand on the roadside while this chaos is going on!? I see lots of candidates for the Darwin Awards!!
