Hello. I just recently did some google searches and found this forum. I have a 2006 black/carbon fiber M6. Car is stock but after just reading up on here a few things that may not last for long Definately doing the char delete today Great forum.
Welcome. i just learned about the SMG reset. I guess you just drive the car around 30 or 40mph or so in a straight line somewhere safe and then put it in Neutral. While its rolling pull back on both shift levers on the steering wheel for about 5seconds and thats it. I did it the other day and didnt really notice anything. I think its more for those who's shifts are not as smooth.
The previous owner told me he blacked out the blue on the bmw symbols all over the car and that he spend $1000 on a light upgrade. I guess thats what you guys are seeing. Maybe i can just say its an 08 now hehe
I also checked inside the airfiler for holes and in the grill b/c I after reading up on rpi intake i wondered if the owner maybe lied about it being stock. But i checked and no holes.
As for exhaust i dont think it has exhaust. The car is pretty quite for a V10 imo and I dont see any name brand on the tips or the outside of the exhaust. How would i know if it was upgraded? What the heck else could he have done lol
