Come on now folks, lets use our smart brains and common sense here.

I know we are all guessing here and making assumptions but allow me please to share my thoughts on the matter.

1) I am certain BMW will not hire a person full time & put him on their payroll to snoop at every BMW bulletin board out there so that they can see what mods we have and forward the info to the dealerships in order to deny our warranty claims.

(Sure, the snitch has an Excel file of each of our mods with our handle names attached to it. That has got to be a long long list.)

2) Even if that snitch exists - I dont see how they can tie anyone's handle name to their car or how they would even get the VIN numbers of each car we drive.

3) BMW Techs work full time at the dealership and so as our Service Advisors. They are all crazy busy each day.
I doubt very much they sit on their computers each day or night and report what they find to their bosses at the dealership.

In my opinion, an official BMW snitch is highly unlikely.

the weed out there on the streets is much stronger nowadays. I'd say cut the doses to avoid paranoia syndromes. On a serious note the thought has crossed my mind before and it's plausible to say that dealers could do that. Again I'm suffering from the stronger stuff too : )

I don't have an issue with the mind probes--even if I do put a tin foil cap on my Beast. It is the probes of the other end that get ya--especially since they don't give you your test results back...

Damn voices in my head just told me that BMW spys are now using our ip addies and they have a special device that tracks a 100yard radius from your IP to any m5 or m6's ecu and a special tracker is now istalled in our ecu's that tracks any mods and actually video tapes all activity going on in our cars. I hope this is not true b/c ive voilated like 6 laws today. Everything from public indecent exposure to the 4 tied up Cambodian kids in my trunk who i use as jack stands.

George-from what I understand, blowjobs in an M6 are covered under warranty, in fact; that is about the only thing covered under warranty.
