Mark,

Thanks for letting me join the M5/M6 gang at your session. I enjoyed getting to know you last year at Miramas and I am really looking forward to this event in Spain.

Good to hear from you Chris. Be sure to post photos and your impressions of your new 1M series coupe when you get it in a few months.

I wish more Board members would commit and join us. But we should have a great time at Ascari. I'm looking forward to seeing you again.

Cheers,

BMW M advises that our unused slots are no longer reserved for the U.S. market (which is where our slots came from). They are now fair game for whoever snaps them up.

However, that does not mean that the slots are all gone. You can still sign up and join us on the "M5Board.com day". But the sooner you act, the better your chances of getting a slot on our day (Nov 3rd - dinner & presentation / Nov 4th public road and Ascari track driving).

With some BMW M personnel taking their traditional Bavarian August holiday/vacation, the M-Power.com online registration process (a second step of the process which handles the hotel bookings) won't get going for another couple of weeks. I will let everyone know when I hear more. But for those who have already signed up, expect to hear directly from BMW M with your login/password around the end of the month.

I have not gone onto that website for any reservations so they might as well be on vacation.............

The one night at the Waldorf Astoria that is included in the event price will be booked by BMW M. The way they will manage that is via having participants secondarily register on the M-Power.com website. However they have not opened that aspect up yet. They will advise (via email) each of our login/password credentials in a couple of weeks (it's vacation/holiday period in Bavaria right now). Once I know that the webpage is up and running, I will also post a notice here.

So, if I'm guessing what you really wanting to know is:

You can book other nights yourself but you do not need to book November 3rd (dinner & presentation night) as that is included and booked by BMW M.

I'm looking forward to seeing you and Victoria again in Spain.

-- Mark

No, I have not heard anything regarding the M-Power online registration step yet. I have to email Tyler tonight regarding something else, so I will ask if everyone is back from holiday yet . and when the online system will be up.
