Zerocks, this is the MVP of DIY threads!!! You guys on the M6 board are really on fire with the DIY projects, it took me hours to go through this one.

Quick question, does the Idrive boot faster with the legal disclaimer and BMW splash screen disabled? Or are those events concurrent to the process and cause no delay? I have a 2006 with the CCC and it tends to be slow on the boot, mildly annoying but not horrible.

Lastly, if you can come up with a code change that enables 2 more cylinders in my car and makes it as fast as yours I would GREATLY appreciate it!

My first mod have been made this morning, I've actived the acoustic lock in the menu, and it's working perfectly
Now going to start working on front blinker warning and 2 level brakes

Forgot to mention. I used my netbook (which already has the files) and my cable and I hooked up my co-worker and Board member M5Drifter last week with about a half dozen changes for his 2007 M5. Went very well. Again thanks to the gurus here who have made this all possible for stones like me.

front blinker warning are fixed, but not the 2 level brakes...

I never did anything with my brake force settings. What exactly were you trying to change? BFD settings are brake force display in the LMA module

Took my beast on a journey this weekend. Up the coastal route of Central California. Just beautiful. Made my way up to Monterey. Trunk full of tools, oil, netbook and cabling.... Just in case

Pool at Hearst Castle. Beast behaving well so far.
