I remembered that Alan posted up some modules and activities in to a word doc. I've re-attached them here- they contain the seat belt gong, and some various others.

The video in motion- thats a tough one with the late CIC idrive, its much more complex than just changing a line in one of the modules. The DIY'ers have some special methods of doing it. I'll try and dig it out again.

Congrats Mark. First things first. On 2010's, you do not have a CAPPL module. It had been replaced with a CIC module.

The lines of code are slightly different than the CAPPL version

I would exercise caution writing changes to that master 193K module. That's the entire car and acts as a master backup. Strongly urge you to write to the individual modules

From memory, the CIC lines of code of interest are:

(even though you've done this through the master). CIC module Legal_xxxxx_timeout_xx. Change to kein_ld. The character before the lower case d is not on our US keyboards. You have to copy it from the existing command line to make the new command kein_ld. It looks like a lower case L or the number 1

Video in motion (VIM), is a two step process on the 2010's. First is the handbrake command so the video plays whether or not the handbrake is applied

Search for the word handbremse_xxx in the CIC module. Change the command to nicht_aktiv. You can do both of the above changes at the same time.

The VIM requires a very specific procedure that uses a combination of NCS and a program that's embedded in your Ediabas directory called Tools32.exe.

Much of what's around the web on this topic require changes for E63/4 models. If you send me a PM with an email address I will send you a version that I tested once on a 2010 with another member who is local here in SoCal

- HUD directionals HUD blinker_ausstattung >aktiv ( you likely have visual blinkers in your HUD already. Only works when in non M mode)
- bc digital display KOMBI bc_digital_v >aktiv
- fan speed in auto mode IHKA gebl_anzeige_auto >aktiv
- auto light sensor sensitivity RLS flc_schwellwert >wert_03 (very sensitive)bottom number only
- bc real speed korrektur KOMBI bc_digital_v_korrektur >_aktiv (gives you true GPS speed on the bc digital speed display)
- Eject key fob when engine turns off CAS. KOMFORT_EJECT >aktiv
- Outside mirrors fold when key fob lock is held for 2 sec or finger is placed on door lock for 2 sec CAS komfortschliessng_fb. aktiv and komfortschliessung_pa aktiv
PLUS KGM module beiklappen_xxx > acktiv
- KOMBI gas tank to empty warning reduced tank_schwelle_reserve. wert 03>02. (or wert 02 which warns within 20 miles)

Yes, very good memory Alan! The photo is St Thomas Virgin Islands.
I took the photo when we went on an excursion exploring the island.

Our ship Equinox is the first one on the left.

Vacation was really nice. Lots of rest and relaxation, we ate some great food and did some nice sight seeing in the Caribbean Islands.

The sad part - I have over 300 personal eMails and over 400 work emails to read and reply to. Sucks.

Anyway, thanks to Alan and you all for the continued update on this.
I will keep reading for now until I get caught up with my to-do list and catch up with work and home eMails.

Briefly, I've got some things changed as of tonight. The hand brake disabling of VIM is done, but the movement part remains an action item. I do have digital speed though. So I'm happy that the "getting going" hurdles have been cleared and now it's just the actual changes to be found and applied.

I heard one of our very highly valued member here is trying to find a way for us to be able to customize our own splash screen.

That would be awesome!

Just think, you can put your girlfriends photo (yes plural), your ex-wife's photo, your divorce lawyer's photo, Newt Gingrich photo, Charlie Sheen's photos, your dog, your kid's baby sitter, or even your mother in law!
